To help you simplify server connectivity throughout your SAN environment, Brocade has introduced a new family of high-performance 4 Gbit/ sec Fibre Channel HBAs. Featuring an industry-standard PCI-Express design, the Brocade 410 and Brocade 420 HBAs connect servers to storage and other data center network resources. As a result, you can more easily centralize management throughout Brocade SAN fabrics to help reduce your overall operating costs.

The new HBAs play a critical role in helping you improve performance and reliability for a wide range of SAN, data center networking, and server virtualization solutions. Besides providing you with a single-vendor option to build the core of your SAN fabric, the HBAs also give you tighter end-to-end integration with Brocade switches, directors, and gateways.

In addition to the new HBAs, Brocade has also developed a long-term server connectivity roadmap that includes both Fibre Channel and Ethernet offerings scheduled for release in 2008.

Planned offerings include 8 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel and 10 Gigabit Ethernet capabilities that build on the recently announced Fibre Channel-over-Ethernet (FCoE) initiative. The ISAs are also designed to leverage N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV)-compliant products to better support today's virtualization tools.
