In recent years, networked storage has played an increasingly important role in driving efficiency across IT enterprises. Now Brocade is providing a wide range of new products and product enhancements designed to further boost efficiency across enterprise data centers and branch office environments.
These new SAN- and FAN-based offerings address critical challenges to help you improve resource utilization, scalability, security, and investment protection. As a result, you can more cost-effectively consolidate resources, access data, and transform your IT infrastructure into a strategic competitive advantage.
The new and enhanced solutions include:
Brocade 200E Switch
The Brocade 200E now supports Brocade Access Gateway mode, a feature of Brocade Fabric OS that enables interoperability with any type of SAN fabric. Running the Brocade 200E in Brocade Access Gateway enables you to scale your SAN with more servers or storage devices without increasing management complexity. As a result, you can connect to any SAN fabric that supports N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV).
Brocade FC10-6 10 Gbit/sec Blade
The new Brocade FC10-6 10 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel blade for the Brocade 48000 enables you to interconnect systems between remote sites for high-performance business continuity applications. This enables you to fully utilize your existing 10 Gbit/sec links via dark fiber or DWDM, with up to a 60 percent performance improvement over 4 Gbit/sec technology.
Brocade EFCM and Fabric Manager
Several enhancements to Brocade EFCM and Brocade Fabric Manager further strengthen management efficiency and security across your SAN infrastructure. Key enhancements include Advanced Call Home for Brocade EFCM and performance monitoring functionality for Brocade Fabric Manager.
Brocade 7500 and Brocade FR4-18i
New Fibre Channel Fast Write acceleration capabilities are now available on both the Brocade 7500 Router Switch and the Brocade FR4-18i Routing Blade for the Brocade 48000. This new feature enables you to increase performance by up to 200 percent across native Fibre Channel extended links. It is ideal for data protection, including remote disk mirroring and disaster recovery applications.
