The Brocade Developer Program helps address the needs of our customers by working with innovative companies that develop and deliver complementary network solutions. The program is designed to help developers perform compatibility testing with Brocade products, create applications utilizing the Brocade SMI Agent (SMI-A), and develop a stronger relationship with Brocade.

The Developer Program is specifically designed to help developers perform compatibility testing with Brocade products and create applications utilizing Brocade tools. As a member of the program, you receive numerous benefits to achieve these goals. Developers have access to resources and tools, ranging from discounts on Brocade training and products to joint press release opportunities, to assist them throughout the development of their solution.

Membership levels:

Recognizing that organizations have different needs based on the status of their solution, the Brocade Developer Program offers a tiered program with two distinct membership levels (and associated benefits). Brocade works with its developers to determine what level of membership best matches their current interest and desired commitment:

• Associate Developers: This FREE membership level provides interested developers with a way to begin a relationship with Brocade and receive limited access to the program's resources. Associate Developers require limited marketing assistance from Brocade and are comfortable self-certifying the compatibility of their own products.
• Select Developers: Select Developers receive all of the advantages of the Associate Developers and a number of additional benefits, which includes discounts on products and training, as well as access to Brocade's Data Center Ready testing facilities (lab fee required). Select Developers receive more assistance in the promotion, development, testing, and deployment of their solution.

Program Focus Areas Include the following:

• Data Center Ready - Interoperability Testing: A comprehensive testing and configuration initiative that fosters IP Network and SAN interoperability.
• Server Connectivity Certification for Brocade HBA's: Enables developers to self-certify new or existing products for compatibility with Brocade PCIe HBAs.
• SMI Developer:  For developers creating network applications, such as SAN management tools, the SMI Developer resources help you leverage the standardized Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S).
