Q. How many interview rounds does a prospective new hire have to go through?
A. College students will have to participate in two rounds of interviews. The first round will be on campus and/or via phone, and the second round will at onsite at a Brocade Day event.
Q. How will prospective new hires be notified if they will proceed to Brocade Day?
A. Prospective new hires will be contacted by the University Program within 48-72 hours from the on-campus recruiting event.
Q. What is the time duration for Brocade Days? If prospective new hires cannot attend Brocade Days, will other accommodations be available?
A. The Brocade Day events will be held on one day each for the Fall and Spring seasons. Interviews will be scheduled during the Brocade Day event.
Q. Will hotel and travel be available for prospective new hires attending the Brocade Day event?
A. Yes, hotel and flight arrangements will be offered to prospective new hires attending the Brocade Day event.
Q. What is the format of the interview process?
A. The format for interviewing and assessing candidates will vary given the job profile, and likely consist of a combination of assessment techniques for communication skills, technical/ theoretical knowledge, experience, motivation and potential. Interviews will involve one to three interviewers per session.

Q. Can students who graduate in the spring apply for a position in the fall? If so, what communication will be involved between the recruiters and the new hire during the time lapse?
A. Brocade encourages students who will graduate in the spring to apply for positions in the fall. The University Program will communicate via e-mail for any upcoming events and onboarding issues, as well as coordinate with your campus career center.
Q. What is the time duration for students to make a decision about the job offer?
A. Brocade would like the potential new hire to respond within two weeks of receiving the offer. In addition, Brocade will follow the schools' career center guidelines regarding the new graduates' acceptance of job offers. If the potential new hires have any questions regarding the job offer, they can contact University Program.
Q. Does Brocade support H-1 Visa/Green Card sponsorship for new hires?
A. Yes, Brocade sponsors both H1B and Permanent Residency. The Green Card process is initiated 90 days after the employee start date.
Q. If F-1 students are waiting for work authorization (OPT approval), would the program consider this, and allow for a delayed start date?
A. Brocade would need to see evidence of the OPT work authorization prior to the new hires reporting to work. If they have applied for OPT and are awaiting approval, they should inform Brocade as soon as they receive approval.
Q. Will Brocade help me relocate?
A. Yes, relocation assistance is available for applicable new hires.

Brocade customers are leaders in their respective industries, and Brocade products reside in most Fortune 2000 companies. Approximately 90 percent of the world's data flows through Brocade storage networks. Therefore, Brocade has had a significant impact regarding the connection between servers and data storage. As a growing company with over 2500 employees, Brocade intends to continue innovating and providing even better technology to Brocade customers.
Q. What is the work environment at Brocade? Is it flexible or rigid regarding work duration?
A. The work environment is to work smart and be rewarded for the outcomes. Brocade employees focus on their productivity and efficiency in their output. Employees should discuss with their managers any flexibility to their schedules.
Q. What volunteering opportunities are available? What events do Brocade employees participate in?
A. Brocade sponsors eight hours of community service toward volunteering opportunities in qualified programs. Brocade employees have participated in past events such as toy drives, canned food drives, and volunteering at the Tech Museum to educate elementary students. Brocade is also dedicated to preserving the environment and going "Green" with their products.
