  • Every employee is required to develop a learning plan of at least 32 hours per year
  • Feedback isn’t a one-time a year event, continuous coaching and open feedback on a regular basis is encouraged
  • From a variety of on-line resources, an ‘open door’ policy, quarterly All-Hands meetings, a robust Intranet platform and ongoing reward and recognition programs, employees have access to tools and resources to inspire them to develop attributes to challenge the Status Quo

Social Events and Corporate Wellness

As cliché as it sounds, at Brocade we ‘work hard’…but we also ‘play hard’. We at Brocade value our traditional activities that promote fun in the workplace, events and programs that provide unique opportunities to get to know one another, let loose, celebrate our accomplishments and stay healthy. Many of these programs are produced by Committees and Councils which all employees are encouraged to join. Events may vary by geography and site, and commonly include:

  • Annual Chili Cook-off , Halloween Boo-tacular and quarterly socials – departments form teams to complete for bragging rights for various contests; major sites and several departments also hold quarterly social events to give employees opportunities to mix and mingle.
  • Through Brocade’s ‘Volunteer Time-Off’ (VTO) program, employees have 40 hrs. per calendar year to support eligible non-profits.  Through VTO many teams give time to causes like local food banks, schools and other causes.
  • B-Faire is an annual Headquarters event where employee gather to gain access to information about local resources and departmental services
  • WellFit is Brocade’s global wellness initiative that promotes healthy lifestyle choices. WellFit Councils around the globe produce workshops, team events and fitness activities for employees and dependents. The Global Bike Challenge and Family Fitness Challenge are events you won’t want to miss!
