As a Brocade Certified Fabric Professional, you will learn how to install, configure and troubleshoot various Brocade products and become proficient in the intricacies of Brocade switches.

The Brocade Certified Fabric Professional 8 Gbit/sec exam tests against the following objectives:

Hardware and Software Product Features

  • Describe Brocade hardware and software product features

Installation and Configuration

  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to install and configure a Brocade product (M-Series/B-Series, and Fabric Manager)

FC Theory

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic FC theory

Layer 2/Layer 3 Routing and Extension Solutions

  • Given a scenario, describe what is required to implement and extended fabric solution
  • Describe how to configure and verify an FCIP connection
  • Given a scenario, describe how frames are routed in a fabric

Troubleshooting

  • Given a scenario, demonstrate basic knowledge of how to troubleshoot basic switch connectivity issues
  • Describe the process for gathering escalation data
  • Determine the operational state of a Brocade product
  • Given a scenario, demonstrate how identify performance issues
