Brocade 8000 Top-of-Rack FCoE Switch
At a fundamental level, FCoE is designed to enable the transport of storage and networking traffic over the same physical link. Utilizing this technology, the Brocade 8000 top-of-rack FCoE switch provides a unique platform that connects servers to both LAN and SAN environments.

The high-performance switch includes 24 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) CEE ports and eight Fibre Channel ports supporting 8 Gbps speeds in an efficient 1U form factor. Compared to competitive offerings, the Brocade 8000 provides twice the Fibre Channel bandwidth while consuming just a fourth of the power.

Leveraging the Brocade 8000, you can consolidate server I/O since FCoE and IP traffic travel across the same link from a CNA-equipped server. This approach can significantly reduce the number of adapters you use. In addition, the convergence of interfaces gives you greater flexibility and choice for your virtualized environments.

Fast, Reliable Server Connectivity with Brocade CNAs
The Brocade 1010 (single-port) and 1020 (dual-port) CNAs enable the reliable transport of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel over Ethernet links (via FCoE).

The Brocade 8000 FCoE switch is designed to work with these CNAs, which provide best-in-class scalability and performance features that make them ideal for key data center initiatives such as virtualization and consolidation.
