A NEW BENCHMARK FOR FABRIC MANAGEMENT
Building on the best qualities of proven Brocade fabric management software, Brocade DCFM is an all-new solution for centrally managing the largest enterprise-class data center fabrics. It provides a complete solution for highly efficient, cost-effective, and reliable management of networked storage environments.

Two versions of DCFM are available:

• DCFM Enterprise: A highly robust software solution that centrally manages up to 9000 switch ports across as many as 24 fabrics
• DCFM Professional: A software solution included with Brocade switches that centrally manages up to 1000 ports in a single fabric

To boost your productivity and reduce workload, DCFM Enterprise unifies fabric management—from the storage ports all the way to the Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) attached to your physical and virtualized servers. You can use it to configure and manage the Brocade DCX Backbone along with Brocade SAN directors, routers, and switches. Moreover, it supports new encryption capabilities for Brocade data-at-rest and HBA products.

Key DCFM Enterprise capabilities include:

• Configuration management, security management, and extensive zoning to help protect data
• Performance monitoring, including real-time and historical data collection and reporting
• Fault management, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and Call Home features to streamline problem resolution
• Support for FICON, FCIP, and Fibre Channel Routing

If you currently use Brocade EFCM or Fabric Manager and have a service agreement with a minimum one-year term, you can upgrade to DCFM Enterprise at no additional charge.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE DATA ENCRYPTION

Two platforms are available for fabric-based encryption in heterogeneous environments:

• Brocade Encryption Switch: A full-feature 32-port 8 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel switch
• Brocade FS8-18 Encryption Blade: A 16-port 8 Gbit/sec Fibre Channel blade for use in the Brocade DCX Backbone

Both platforms feature industry-leading capabilities such as:

• Providing line-speed encryption with up to 96 Gbit/sec of processing power
• Utilizing industry-standard AES-256 encryption algorithms and complying with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 standards
• Supporting NetApp Lifetime Key Management KM500 and RSA Key Manager (RKM) for the Datacenter products
• Providing secure management connections and Smart Card support for quorum-based authorization
• Delivering integrated storage access controls and administrative audit logging
• Leveraging Frame Redirection technology to streamline the deployment of fabric-based security services
