The Fibre Channel ports are numbered from left to right on the faceplate as shown in the following figure:

  1. Fibre Channel Ports 0 through 3
  2. Fibre Channel Ports 4 through 15
  3. GbE ports ge0-ge1 (fixed copper RJ-45 only)
  4. GbE ports ge0 through ge5 - (SFP - optical or copper)
NOTE
You can also use port index and PIDs to identify a port. For more information, refer to the Fabric OS Administrator's Guide.

You can have two trunking groups on a fully licensed Brocade 7800. Groups 1 would consist of FC ports 0-7 and group 2 would be ports 8-15.
