DAD on the secondary node

Once the principal node deployment completes successfully, the DAD process starts on the secondary node.

  1. Enable DHCP. If the switch is in fabric cluster mode, use the copy running-config startup-config command. Make sure the local time of the switch is in sync with the principal node.
  2. Enable DAD using the dhcp auto-deployment enable command.
Once you enable DAD on the switch the DAD process begins. For the fabric cluster mode, the script runs on the local configuration (--rbridgeid #). For the logical chassis mode, the script runs on the local configuration (--rbridgeid # --local).
NOTE
Use the show dadstatus command to view the status of the DAD process as it runs.
