Implementation flow of ACLs under SNMP

The implementation flow for ACLs under SNMP is as follows:

  1. Create access lists (ACLs) that permit or deny specified IP addresses. For details, refer to Creating standard ACLs for SNMP.
  2. Define server groups with the needed combination of Read or Write; and Notify permissions. For details, refer to Adding an SNMP community string.
  3. For SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c, implement Adding an SNMP community string.
  4. For SNMPv3, implement Configuring SNMP server users.
