In support of the global requirements to dispose of electrical waste within environmentally acceptable specifications, and in support of the Brocade environmental program, Brocade offers customers the Take-Back and Recycle process to allow them to properly dispose of surplus and end-of-life products.
Equipment returned to Brocade through this program is disposed of in an environmentally safe manner using processes that comply with the WEEE (European Union Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment to be compliant by August 13, 2005) regulations, all EPA guidelines, and U.S. environmental laws at all levels of government. All Brocade-branded products are accepted under the program.
More About WEEE
The WEEE Directive places an obligation on manufacturers to take back electronic products at the end of their useful life. The RoHS Directive complements the WEEE Directive by banning the presence of specific hazardous substances in the products at the design phase. The WEEE Directive covers all Brocade products already sold to businesses as well as products that will be sold in the future.
